Long Beach EXPOSED

Artist Installations at the Long Beach Expo Building in Bixby Knolls

As part of GLOBAL: Greater Long Beach Arts Lab, the Arts Council for Long Beach will produce a temporary, visual art exhibition at the former EXPO Furniture Building - a 25,000 square foot vacant building in Bixby Knolls that is managed and operated by the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association.

GLOBAL, in conjunction with the National Arts and Humanities month, will highlight cultural and artistic events happening in Long Beach during October. Now in its inaugural year, GLOBAL is an annual event that will be built into a 'signature event' for Long Beach, attracting regional and international visitors to the city.

Long Beach EXPOSED will showcase the talents of emerging visual artists and will continue the dialogue about the role of alternative venues in contemporary practice. Participating artists include: James Adams, Tony Brown, Kendell Carter, Jeff Chabot, Jason Chakravarty, Gioj DeMarco, Desirée DeVirgilio, McLean Fahnestock, MLuM with Karen Crews, Melissa Ficociello, Jeff Foye and Gordon Winiemko, Karrie Hovey, Virginia Katz, Ryan Ross, Jean Robison, and Ball-Nogues Studio.

This event is made possible through the generous support of the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency, the Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association, the Evalyn M. Bauer Foundation, Seaside Printing, and DDR Projects.

Check the GLOBAL Events Calendar for hours and location.
